God holds Matthew in His arms / Clay Gauvin (Friend of his mother ) I have recently found my faith in God and I am confident that Matthew is with him. When a loved one passes away, people often try to comfort their loved ones by saying, "He is in a better place." Unfortunately, I don't think they really take the time to think about the absolute truth of that statement. It is often said too quickly, and with little more intention that to ease others pain.
The truth is, Matthew REALLY is in a better place. To be with God is the ultimate reward. Heaven is beyond our comprehension, Jesus was right when he referred to it as "paradise".
Its sad that we no longer have the pleasure of Matthew's company, but he is far from "gone". He's simply on the other side of life. He's in the presence of the One responsible for all of creation! And with the Lord's blessing, we'll all be together there soon.
Life is short, but love last forever!!!
